ABOUT THE BOOK
Part memoir, part guidebook, all heart. This book is an intimate portrait of actively designing your professional life, separating your work from your worth, and leaning into more of what energizes you.
Like a good American, Hanah Smith defined herself by her career and how hard she worked. As a perfectionist and “good girl,” she put herself last to make sure everything on the outside looked good and everyone else was taken care of. She worked long hours to climb the corporate ladder and by age 30 Hanah became an executive at a national PR firm. Life was going according to plan. A few years later, it all started to unravel. After a series of deaths in her family, she heard a voice inside her scream: “If you die tomorrow, you will die with regret.”
She was proud of the work she did. She wasn't proud of her relationship to work. In her book, Hanah shares an honest and vulnerable look inside redefining your relationship with work, including:
Job crafting to try and love the one you’re with.
Going from “never enough time” to taking back your time.
Quantifying, owning, and standing up for your value in the workplace.
Identifying what you value spending your time, energy, and money on and aligning your life accordingly.
In redefining her relationship with work, she ultimately redefined her relationship with herself.
